Orphans First Prayers for April 10th, 2003

RUSSIA & ORPHANS waiting to be ADOPTED    
     Here is an important subject for prayer sent by Joyce, adopted mother of 
Artur, and lady who helps organize the KIDSAVE summer camp program.  "I was 
well on my way to finding families for 15 children from ages 7 to 16 from 
Artur's orphanage in St. Petersburg, Russia when I received official word 
that "due to credible threats of terrorism against the US the Ministry of 
Education in St. Petersburg has deemed it too dangerous to allow the children 
attending summer camps in the US to travel." This seems like a repeat of 
last  year when the US Consulate in Romania would not allow the kids to come 
despite letters, protests by senate and congressional leaders here in 
Washington DC-I understand the situation is different-but my heart hurts 
......"

     Please pray for these children.  It has been suggested to me that there 
is a political agenda behind such a decision, probably based on rocky 
relations with Russia concerning the Iraq situation.  Much prayer is needed.

     Also in Russia, there was a recent fire in a children's home with dear & 
dumb children.  26 died (now in Heaven, thank God), but others were wounded.  
Please pray for them.

     Continue linterceding for the needy children throughout the world.  
Continue praying for those who co-labor with O.F. in various countries:  
India, Africa (several countries), Albania, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, 
France, S. America (a few countries), USA..........  Pray for mighty growth 
in all these places so we can reach more children.

BURKINO FASO, Africa
     This is one of our most recent works.  Pray as some friends will be 
visiting that work there in a few weeks.  Pray they can help us see how to 
expand. 
     
IRAQ
     Pray for the many wounded children.  Pray for God to heal, and deliver 
from pain.  Pray for future, Christian parents to adopt the orphans.  Pray 
for the Iraqian people to get saved by the multitudes, to recognize that 
their real liberater is Christ.  And thank God for His faithfulness to redeem 
and poor out mercy on the suffering.
