(Thanks for praying. I found my glasses).
Orphans First Prayer Requests March 25, 03
PRISONERS
Among the many letters waiting me upon my return from my trip, several
tore my heart. Young Mattias, a prisoner in N. Cameroun, wrote pleading with
me to find him clothes and shoes as he would at last be leaving prison and
had nothing to wear. Mattias began corresponding with me last year after
reading my article in Focus-on-the-Family magazine. His first letter to me
asked for a blanket: He was cold in prison. I never did find anyone to
bring him that blanket. He is now very sickly.
Mattias has suffered greatly, and in the letter I opened Friday, I read
that he was leaving prison that same day. His letter had been written weeks
before, arrived during my absence and now I was opening it and it was too
late to do anything. But it is never too late to pray. Please pray for
Mattias as he leaves prison destitute and alone.
I also opened several other letters from prisoners I correspond with
(and have met) here in France. Pray special for Paula and Chloris, for
Laeticia, and Martine.
Remember: There are thousands of children in prisons all over the
world. Some are there for stealing or just for living on the streets.
Others are born there. Some are accused of something they didn't do. All
are suffering, afraid, lonely, mistreated, hungry, abandoned......... Some
are very tiny. All feel small and helpless. Please pray for them.
WAR-TIME
Pray for the many war-victims. Pray God would bring the children to
Heaven quickly and painlessly. And that He would reveal Himself to the
adults so they could be saved. Pray for the salvations of Iraqians, and for
POWs.
FRANCE & war
Please remember the area in which we live has a high Arab
population. Muslims are not the only threat here as at this time the French
are as also aggressive towards Americans. Sadly, our church children are
victims of the anti-American climate. Town kids have threatened to beat up
our son. Other American kids in our church who attendpublic school have been
called "filthy Americans" for not wearing a white "anti-war" band on their
arms (which the teacher imposed). One American-French teen in Marseille was
told by her Math teacher: "You might as well go to America and bring a bomb
back.........In any case, I refuse to talk to you for the rest of the year"
(i.e. because you're American). France is dark! And even Christians have
been blinded by propaganda and mediatic bias attacking President Bush. Pray
their eyes could be opened so they could pray intelligently.
O.F. ORPHANAGES, & STREET CHILDREN'S WORKS
Pray for a future orphanage in ALBANIA as we expand the work with street
children there. Pray for Eda, Dori & David working with those needy
children. Pray also for whatever is needed to allow us to finally have an
orphanage in St.Petersburg, RUSSIA. Pray also for continued growth in
working with state orphanages (everywhere). Pray for works in SIBERIA,
AZERBADJAN, throughout RUSSIA, AFRICA, INDIA, S. AMERICA & USA.
INDIA & AFRICA
India is particularly prevalent on our hearts. Pray we can visit again
this year and expand in that country. Pray especially for the street
children. Pray for more orphanages and ways to help needy children. Pray
also for upcoming trips to Africa (different ones from here go regularly and
we'd like to increase our impact there and reach more children).
ADOPTIONS
Pray for Kidsave program (check website) and for doors to open so
children would be adopted by Christians. Pray for several couples now
beginning adoption procedures -- that God would open every door wide.
WOMEN'S SEMINAR & special meeting
This weekend I'll be teaching a women's seminar entitled "Blessed are
the pure in heart, for they shall see God". Pray for God's special
anointing, and for souls to be saved. Pray also for a special meeting Sunday
for the General Assembly meeting of the French branch of Orphans First
("Sauver les Enfants") this weekend. We hope to reach new goals, expand, and
generally be more efficient in reaching more needy children worldwide.
World Wide Day Of Prayer For Children At Risk
Please note that this will take place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th
June this year. Please check out the VIVA website for more information.
Pray for churches to get involved.
