Prayer Update 24 Feb. 03

USA TRIP
During our USA trip God has been faithful in helping us make contacts to
expand Missions and Orphans First. Please continue praying for open doors,
and details to enable us to be fruitful for Him.

RUSSIA & ADOPTIONS
Yesterday, I had the joy of speaking with Andrei & Lida---the brother &
sister recently adopted from St.Pete by loving American parents. The miracle
of their adoption took place in little over a year since we began praying for
them (just after Artur's adoption). Please continue praying for adoptions.
Please pray for the following brothers in Russia as shared by Joyce Schaller
(Artur's Mom):

"Janey: Here is the information on the two brothers needing to be adopted!
My son knows both of these boys---he confirms that they are both good
students! The older boy was responsible for taking care of younger
children-in charge of them in his group-that he was always nice to everyone
and is loved by all---same for his younger brother.Their names are Dimitry
and Vadim Ilyn." For more info. please contact Joyce Schaller:

Our friends in St.Pete, Russia have shared GREAT NEWS about the
Christmas Project. They were able to give gifts and God's love to thousands
of orphans again this year. Please pray for the following:
* our own orphanage there in St.Pete,
* for a VCR & TV for one orphanage we work in,
* for surgery for Sergey, a little boy with a deformed mouth.
*   for adoptions.

From Kalingrad, Russia: "We have one prayer need for an orphan girl Anna
Fedotova she has leukimia she is only 3 years old. She is going through chemo
right now and has very little chance to live."

KYRGYZSTAN
The Christmas Project went well in Bishek, Kyrgyzstan. Meanwhile, the
church there is suffering from the political situation. Pray the church can
be registered, and pray we can expand meeting the needs of suffering children
there.

SIBERIA
I'm pasting the testimony of the Christmas Project in Siberia just
before the signature line (scroll down to read).

ALBANIA
Our "Christmas" team finally left for Albania, distributing hundreds of
gifts to poor children. Meanwhile, the permanent team there continue working
with poor children, and street children. The team had 120 children at their
Saturday club and 42 teens. Pray for expansion.

INDIA
I recently heard from some of our precious street children. Please pray
for God to provide a home for these boys. Their lives are such a struggle,
although thank God they know Jesus.
Continue praying for our orphanage in Guntur, and that some of us could
visit there this year.

S. AMERICA
Christmas Project in Mexico (San Pedro & Parres) went really well,
reaching over 300 poor children.
Continue praying for 9-year-old Emanuel, on the streets of Ecuador, and
the many needy children like him.

AFRICA
Continue praying for Emmanuel. I have been unsuccessful in getting him
into a "safer" country. Pray for God to provide a solution to this young
orphan boy's need.
Continue praying for our churches, and orphans works in different
African countries, particularly in: Togo, Burkino Faso, Gabon, Ivory Coast &
Ghana. Pray we can really begin something significant for orphans in S.
Africa.

TEENS worldwide
It seems that God is placing the needs of teens constantly on our
hearts. Pray for a friend trying to help 600 delinquent children in Florida.
Worldwide, children are toying with serious sisn (drugs, sex, alcohol,
violence etc.) earlier & earlier in life. Pray for teens. Pray for us as we
seek to help them. Pray for our own teens in France, and others in America,
who have been "sucked" into a satanic web through profane music.

PERSONAL & FRANCE
Pray for our church in France during our absence. Pray for protection
as the enemy is particularly prevalent in that country (what you see
regarding France's stand in the present world crisis is typical and
reflective of their attitude towards God. Pray also for our 15-year-old son
(our 19-year-old daughter is of course in Baltimore). Pray for some very
important upcoming connections stateside which would greatly help the work in
France.

SIBERIA
     "Dear Janey DeMeo,
On Dec. 28th we visited a local orphanage with a Christmas mime
presentation, party, and giving out gifts. We had a group of 14 people from
our church who were involved in some measure in this project.  It was our 3rd
encounter with the children and staff of this orphanage.  We weregreeted very
warmly.  Our program began with a mime presentation.  Before each skit we
gave a short explanation.  We had a total of 5 skits. For the very first time
the kids saw live mime presentation.  They loved it!
After mime, a short message was given
with a salvation prayer.  Then we had games and competitions with small
prizes for children.  This time was filled with a lot of joy and much
laughter.  Then we had refreshments and sweets while fellowshipping with
children and
staff.  The kids were so happy to receive the gifts and they were saying
"Thank you" over and over again.
I would like to thank you and your co-laborers for sponsoring Christmas
Project in Tyumen, Siberia.  We are deeply grateful for your laid down lives
and for finding and providing $400 to have such a celebration of Christmas in
this Orphanage.  We were so much blessed!  May God continue to bless you as
your lives and ministry bless so many around the world.
     In Christ, Pastor Pavel Gailans"
