Orphans First Prayer Needs - Dec. 10th, 02

     Please pray for the following with a sense of urgence because of the 
timing. And thank you.

CHRISTMAS PROJECT - Sense the Father's compassion.
     This past week, the following teams have joined our Christmas project, 
willing to give gifts to orphans and street children at Christmas:  Mexico, 
Ecuador, Kalingrad.  Moscow's project brings tears to your eyes as it 
includes PRISON children.  See Moscow letter below.    PRAY hard for FINANCES 
to reach thousands, thousands of children. For the most recent overall 
picture of the Christmas Project, I've pasted below the updated letter 
explaining the Christmas project, which you can format, print & copy for 
distribution.  Pray for the practical details, laborers, transactions (so the 
teams get their money in time) etc.

YOUTH & DEMONS
     Missions = warfare.  Satan uses "empty-headed fools" (Pr.7), youths who 
embrace rebellion, to attack God's work. The devil's onslaught is calculated 
as rebellion is as witchcraft and ushers in demonic activity.  Pray again for 
a TOTAL defeat of Satan in the lives of those who are entertaining demons.  
Pray for strongholds to break, and for drastic, divine intervention to bind 
the enemy and bring deliverance in this area.
     (Tonite we will have a group of teens at our house again.  Pray for a 
breakthrough even there.).

MOSCOW -  PRISON CHILDREN & others
     Fresh heartwrenching news from the GGWO team in Moscow: 
     "We would like to take part in Christmas Project.  In our church in
Moscow this year we are preparing a Christmas Play to show in three places 
and provide presents for 300 children. 
     First place we are going to show is our church for kids from
our neighborhood, for many children who do have homes but spend most of their 
time "on the street'.  We are planning to have around 100 children here.
     Second place is the society of disabled children......about 100 
children;
some of them can't walk, can't talk, some of them can't concentrate. The
worse thing is that they all are separated from a "healthy society' and
forgotten. They suffer from a lack of attention......but what
really break the heart they are so lonely.  We are praying that God uses us
there and opens their heart and hearts of their parents to accept Jesus.
     Third place is Central Governmental Temporal Prison for Teenagers.  This 
is
a place where kids are kept if they are found on the street and no one knows
where they live, etc.  Some of them already learned to use drugs, some even
committed crimes.   Girls are often caught in prostitution. And they are
only children.  There are about 250 in that place.  Usually they are not
kept there more then 45 days.  Authorities of this Center try to send them
either back the their parents or to the orphanages.  Sometimes some of them
are sent right to the prison.  This is a very important contact for us
because they are thinking of including us in the Board of Directors.  If
that happens we will be able to work with these kids on regular bases.  We
are praying that God continues to open doors for us there.  But this time we
can provide only 100 presents for younger children.
     When we recieved your letter, we imiddiatelly thought of showing the
Christmas Play in 3-4 more orphanages, that is around 1000 children. It
costs about $2.00 to buy one present.  If we get enough support we can do"

     My answer to Moscow?  I told them - "Let's reach them all, and trust God 
to provide the money!"  So let's pray for that.  

     Finally, pasted below is the UPDATED letter you can use for church 
distribution.  This provides the most recent picture of the Christmas 
Project.  Pray for finances to make this Christmas a reality for the 
THOUSANDS of children we're planning to reach.  (Letter pasted below).

                       ORPHANS FIRST CHRISTMAS PROJECT 2002

    Christmas is the season of great contradiction.  While we sing about joy, 
and give gifts and, so many children are forgotten.  It's so easy to get 
caught up in the Christmas swing, becoming familiar and entering into 
routine.  There's so much to do, so much to prepare, and much fun to be had. 
At least, for most of us!  But for those for whom Christmas is just another 
day, there is much irony in the absence of joy this time of year brings.  
While we eat more than our fill, they remain hungry.  While we laugh with 
friends and family, they remain abandoned.  While we receive material 
blessings and comfort, they are abused, enslaved and afraid.  Nothing changes 
for them.  Not even at Christmas.  But, with your help and by God's grace, 
these suffering children can know the heart of the True Father Christmas who 
gave His life for them.  They can sense His great love for them as we give 
them presents, hugs and love.
    As we do each year, Orphans First provides gifts for poor children in 
many countries.  Christians and church-members in those countries bring those 
gifts to the children, sharing the love of Christ personally with each one.  
Some children will see a Christmas play performed.  Most will receive a Bible 
book in their language amongst other things (small toy, candies, fruit, 
crayons, paper etc.). By God's grace, each child will be touched by the love 
of the One whose birthday we celebrate-Jesus!
        This year our vision has been stretched.  We have many new teams in 
various countries adding to our list of those needing funds to supply gifts 
to orphans either in state orphanages, our own orphanages, in the streets, or 
in poor families.  We are excited and challenged.  Please pray with us that 
every need would be met including administration, colaborers  and finances.  
Countries planning to colabor with us for the Christmas Project thus far 
include the following:
RUSSIA & SURROUNDINGS including: St.Pete (our largest Christmas project), 
Moscow, Kalingrad, AZERBAIJAN (planning to reach 800 children this year), 
BELARUS, KAZAKHSTAN, UKRAINE; SIBERIA;  
EUROPE including: ALBANIA (800 children to be reached after Christmas), 
POLAND, FRANCE, ROMANIA. 
N. & S. AMERICA - ECUADOR, MEXICO and hopefully BRAZIL; USA.
INDIA (presents for children in our own orphanages),
AFRICA (Several countries).

   Would you like to help make this dream a realization?   Please give
