O.F. Prayer Requests Nov.4th, 2002
Praying Friends,
We've been home a week and haven't stopped..... Our trip was fruitful
on every angle, though exhausting (8 planes, and 7 different places to stay
in 5 different cities). I presented the O.F. Christmas Project in different
churches, especially my home church in Baltimore. Pray for a great response.
(And my husband preached a storm and evangelized everywhere).
Thank you for praying for that trip. Our daughter is doing wonderfully,
and really growing in Christ. And the homefront was OK during our absence
too, thanks to prayer. More to pray about below.
St. Pete, RUSSIA
Imagine the horror of being abandoned. And then imagine the horror of
being abandoned again, because you just don't look quite right. That's how
12-year-old orphan boy Sergey feels and that's why he's withdrawn and
unhappy, because has a deformed nose. Pray for God to send a loving, giving
surgeon to help him. Pray for growing orphans' work there and especially for
the CHRISTMAS PROJECT (we reached 3, 400 kids in this city with gifts last
year, and this year we've added Moscow).
CHRISTMAS PROJECT
Continue praying for this immense project. We are biting off a mighty
chunk this year-----by faith. Last year, both Albania and Azerbadjan
distributed gifts to 500 children; this year, both are attempting to reach
800. This will mean more money, more hands, more organization, more prayer,
and will bring more smiles. And there are many more countries adding to our
list fast, including Poland.
We still plan to give gifts in the usual places including: Africa
(several countries), India, several European countries (Albania, Romania,
Ukraine, Russia, France, Poland, Belarus, Azerbadjan), USA, and hopefully
south America. May God meet every need, including the administrative needs
to juggle this.
REMEMBER: these are not statistics. These are precious, hurting, needy
children. May God deliver thousands, even millions by our hands and our
prayers.
ADOPTIONS
Continue praying for Andrei & Lida's adoption (hopefully they'll be in
their family for Christmas). And Valery. Also, our Odessa orphans are now
living in Poland with their "adoptive" parents.
Pray also for a family here in our church in France who have fostered
literally hundreds of kids. Pray we can invest in some of those kids.
Continue praying for Christians to choose to adopt, for adoptions to
godly people to become easier, for us to know how to better help, for
Christians to choose to foster also.
NEW ORPHANAGES
As well as pursuing the dream for an orphanage in St. Pete, Russia,
there is another St. Pete that would eventually like to have a children's
home, by God's grace. Pray for homes in the USA. May God allow us to begin
children's home's there and even bring in foreign children to be nurtured.
HOMEFRONT, teens etc.
Please continue praying for the turbulent teens we invest in here. One
boy is under extreme, demonic influence. Please pray for the breakdown of
strongholds. Pray the kids see the evil of certain music they hear. Pray
they make right choices. Pray they flee temptation. There is much warfare.
Pray also for other demonic attacks sent from Hell to destroy our work.
We know our God is greater. We know the power of prayer. And that's why we
can take up our weapon of prayer and pray, for the sake of the precious
children's lives, and for the great commission to reach the lost. Thank God
for people like you who take the privilege of prayer seriously, and make a
great difference.
