The information pasted below just came from Joyce Schaller
regarding the situation with the Romanian orphans. Praise God for this
breakthough and let's keep praying for the children.
Potential TRIP to enlarge the coast of Orphans First.
Please pray for God's definition about whether or not I should make
that "speedy" trip to America to join my husband in meeting some key
Christian leaders. The decision is hard because of the practical
provisions, but that's not all. I leave this week for our Teen Surf Camp
at Biarritz to invest in teens and for our family to spend time together
before Rachèle leaves next week. My husband and Rachèle leave next Monday.
If I go to the USA, I would have to leave separately next Wednesday,
leaving Francesco here. It gets more complicated as we've already
scheduled for all three of us to go to ENGLAND from Sept. 5th - 9th to
visit my family who I've not seen for a few years. If I go to USA, as it
stands right now, I'd get home Sept. 4th evening to leave on September 5th
morning, and the USA trip would mean getting back on Sept. 4th afternoon.
This would make three back to back trips and I'm not sure I could handle
this.
I need God to open a way and speak clearly. We simply need God to
tell us if I need to be there to meet these key Christian leaders to open
doors to help suffering children and increase missions, or if my husband's
presence without me is sufficient. May God's will be done and may He open
or shut doors clearly.
Thanks for praying always for the children, that God would do whatever it
takes to bring them to security,

Janey: Well, it appears the Romanian children will not be able to come to
Virginia this summer-but there is real reason to hope!
1. Ann Rust of Congressman Tom Davis's office got US Consul General Smith
to
say that if he receives a letter from the Romanian Prime Minister or
Romanian COnsul General that he will grant the visas. I just received word
on Aug 16 that the Romanian contact would be able to secure these
letters!!!
WHile it is too late for this summer we are tentatively going to schedule
the children's visit to Dec 15-Jan 14!!
Also, the prayers have obviously worked for with the official letters no
other child will have their hopes for camp/forever families dashed by US
Consul General Smith! And IFS will begin in January setting up a year round
program especially for Romanian orphans!
We all praise God-it may not be the answer we thought we wanted, but God's
timing is perfect! And the moratorium on adoptions in Romania is scheduled
to be lifted on October 8. And the only thing that can stop it is an
executive order from the President of ROmania himself. So, please continue
to pray that the president does not get in the way of the lifting of the
moratorium and that the ROmanian officials follow through with their
promise
to give official letters of support to Smith! JOyce Schaller
