Orphans First Prayer Request Aug.17th, 02

Dear Praying Friends,

        Thanks for continuing to pray for orphans and suffering children
everywhere, for the orphanages and different children's works under Orphans
First, for more workers, church involvemnt, finances and all that is needed
to go forward.  

FRANCE 
SUMMER SCHOOL
        This is a super-busy time of year as we end our Summer Bible School
tomorrow with Graduation (Dr. Maurice Watson is our Guest Speaker).  Many
different countries are represented as our own teams, raised up and sent
out from our Theological Insitute here,  are here during this time. 
Consequently, those working with orphans and street children in different
parts of Africa, Albania, Romania and elsewhere are also here.  Even the
pastor of our newest orphanage in Burkino Faso is here. Please pray that we
could strategize to grow in all these places.  

SURF CAMP - teens
        On Monday we leave with a group of young people for our annual Surf
Camp on the West coast of France.  Pray for souls, and teens to be touched.
 There has been a real attack on our young people in every area, including
drugs and worldliness.  Pray especially for fatherless children and PKs as
they are the most targeted groups, of course.  

PROGRESS for ORPHANS FIRST and PERSONAL
        My husband will take our daughter to Baltimore, USA on Aug. 26th,
after Surf Camp.  Pray for this trip and Rachèle's needs as she begins her
new future stateside.  It is hard for me to see her go but I believe God
will raise her up to work with orphans some day and this stepping stone is
part of His plan.  
        Ironically, there is an opportunity to meet some very important
people at the end of that same week in another state.  My husband will go
for that meeting, and we're praying to know if I should also go and make
contacts which will open doors for O.F.  and children everywhere.   Please
pray for all the elements to come together and for me to complete many
overwhelming details to make this possible.
        GOOD NEWS.  It is looking hopeful that a homeschooler, Jennifer,
will be coming for our son Francesco.  Please pray for her.  Pray it works
out.  We will be so very grateful if this does happen.  My husband's life
is given to discipling men, and mine for suffering children, and we're
trusting in God's infinite care to take care of our own children.  Will
keep you posted.        

ADOPTIONS
        Valery still does NOT have a home (it didn't happen) so continue
praying for that.  For the others, nothing new.................Keep praying
over each case.  Let's pray up a storm that God would open doors wide for
Christians to adopt. 

WARFARE
        We cannot ever forget that serving God places us on the front line
of warfare.  Satan hates souls being won, and children being taken out of
misery.  He targets God's servants, and he delights especially in hurting
the innocent children (Ps. 10:8).  Pray against the darts and attacks that
come on all those seeking to help the little ones.  Pray against
conspiracies, and distractions sent by Satan to weaken God's work.  Pray
for strongholds to fall, especially the many traps set up to lure away
young people in every country ranging from India to America.

INDIA, AFRICA, EUROPE
        Continue praying.............for all.   (Pray always for those
children still out in the streets).
