Orphans in RUSSIA freezing cold......;  Feb. 19th, 2002

Dear Prayer Friends,

        Please pray with me, again. Some little ones suffer SO MUCH.  
Recently, I've had trouble sleeping as the heating in our house broke and
it's been very cold here.  In fact, I've tried putting extra covers on but 
cold is a terrible thing.  But as I read the E mail pasted below from the
adoptive mother of 12-year-old Artur, I realize that I don't even know
suffering at all.  My heart broke as yours will reading this.  May our
lives be reduced to prayer as children all over the world suffer cold,
hunger, rejection and fear.  I plead with you to plead with God for the
children  Please give TIME to this.  Thanks.

        Below is an edited version of Joyce's E mail;
         "Janey:........Now, that Artur has been home almost 4 months we
are able to talk a LOT about the orphanage. He told us that he was so cold
at night that he would go to bed dressed. Apparently, the children at his
orphanage had only one blanket! Even now, he puts 4 blankets under his
comforter and covers his head when he sleeps! Everyone else sleeps here
with maybe one extra blanket!!

        Pray for Valery, a boy who is doing badly in the orphanage. His
teachers have decided he does not belong in their program, and so if a
family is not found he will be moved to a different orphanage where his
chance for finding a family is greatly reduced. He is a wonderful, friendly
boy and a  natural athlete. He is apparently not focused on school because
he wishes and hopes so much for a family to come for him so he daydreams in
class all day.  He imagines when he, like Artur, will meet his parents for
the first time.  He dreams of  the day, when the farewell tea party will be
for him saying good bye at the orphanage. Joyce"  (Now from Janey again.).

         But, short of a MIRACLE, this day may never come.  So, let's pray
for a MIRACLE for Valery, Andrei, Lida, Sacha, another Sacha, and for the
successful adoption of little Katya.  Pray for all the children everywhere
longing to be adopted by loving parents (including D*** in America).  Pray
for Christians to pursue adoption and for people to help.  Pray for God to
blow warm air on the cold children and to fill their bellies with food. 
Pray we can get blankets to them and that they would not be stolen by
workers.  Pray for miracles for suffering children everywhere.  

SEXUAL ABUSE - FRANCE, AFRICA etc.
        French news is spilling a zillion stories on pedaphiles who've
raped children as young as 6 months old, and some children many times every
day.  One 13 year old girl was raped in her school by minors, over 100
times in one year.  (And yet we're considered strange because we created
our own private school).  Some children are seen on videos being raped and
beaten at the same time, screaming, agonizing.........    Oh God, help
them!  There is a major onslaught of this same sin in Africa.  Pray for God
to intervene and to deliver the children from this wicked evil.

DIVORCE - FRANCE
        How ironical that Satan uses our Christian school to make us look
weird in the eyes of the world while rape is becoming more and more common
in schools amongst other kinds of abuse and immorality.  And how clever
that Satan tries to make Christians look like a cult so that in a divorce
case, an adulterous father uses the argument that his ex-wife is in a cult
as an excuse not to pay alimony for the children, and to get the kids
removed from the Christian school.  And yet, the father is an adulterer. 
But our God is greater and He is just.  So, although discretion prevents me
giving names, please pray for God to win this case.
