February 1st, 2002 special prayer for Louis' health and other items for
Orphans First

Louis leaves in a few hours to preach a conference in the UK, and
then travel to Ireland. Please pray for him as he's not recovered from the
fever he got in Africa earlier this week. I've never seen him so unwell.
Please pray for a healing miracle, and quickening to meet the needs before
him.

Pray for the four orphans we support in the UKRAINE. Pray they can
be adopted by the Christian Polish couple and not by unsaved people. Pray
also for another boy, Sacha, in an orphanage in Odessa, Ukraine. He has
marks all over his head as he was brutalized for years before going to the
orphanage.

Pray also for the children in RUSSIA. Pray for a boy, Anton, the
only boy in his orphanage in St. Pete to not yet be adopted and who may be
moved to another orphanage (which is traumatizing). Pray for another
little girl in a similar situation.

Pray for God to smash down pedaphile rackets everywhere and deliver
children everywhere.

For those who want to read more, I'm enclosing more details about
the Haitian orphans needing much prayer.

        And thanks always for praying,

Janey

                                                February 2002

"How come we must bury Mommy if she's already in Heaven?" the small
Haitian boy asked me, puzzled. His poignant question brought ironical joy
because for the past week he'd barely spoken at all---since the murder of
his mother. God graciously placed me in the right place at the right time
to minister to this small, hurting child, and his three older siblings, and
cousin. (Names deliberately withheld for protection). Read on.
Since the recent murder of these four Haitian children's mother,
the orphans were haunted by fear. The children's father had been murdered a
year earlier, and after ten tragic deaths in the family thus far, one of
the children sobbed on my neck, "I'm scared!". But, thanks to prayer, God
was faithful to enrobe her with His love, giving me precise words of truth
to comfort her. Bible words. Doctrine to deliver hope for an expected end.
At one point, the children had so many questions, they fought to be
first to ask. And as we continued sharing truth, God gave us a glimpse of
Heaven so real that the children spent the afternoon joyfully playing,
released of a mighty burden. Why? Well, I don't pretend to know all the
answers, but I do know this: God calls us to share his Word and His heart
of love to deliver the children's broken hearts. But what if people don't
go to the children? What if people like you didn't pray to make this
ministry possible, and to support children we help regularly? That would
be tragic. So, in remembering these children in prayer, and others like
them, I want to thank you for giving to Orphans First to make a difference.
