Orphans First Prayer Requests May 4th, 2001

PRAYER DAYS
        Yesterday was the 50th National Day of Prayer, and we have much to
pray for, especially the millions of hurting children. Please NOTE June 2nd
is the World-Wide Day of Prayer For Children At Risk and plan to pray. (As
explained in my article in May's Focus on the Family Magazine, DJ Mag. and
this website: Web : www.viva.org   

INDIA
        Recently, an orphanage was raided in India and children taken
elsewhere.  One American couple were in the process of adopting a little
girl when this happened.  Pray for John & Joyce and especially the
children. 
        In this regard, remember how dangerous India is, and continue
praying for our two orphanages there -- for total protection, full growth,
for street children, and for new orphanages.  Pray specifically also for
certain barriers to break down that hinder the work.

FRANCE
        Today, the law to penalize "mental manipulation" (a term for which
there is no criteria and so left open to subjective interpretation) was
passed. I'm writing cautiously, but try to read between the lines when I
tell you France needs much prayer.  Since Bush got in, the media and
government are attacking America, and evangelicals like never before, while
blatantly flaunting their filth and anti-god standards.  Last night we were
finally featured on Prime Time National TV as a major cult, having been
sent over by America to infiltrate France, maybe even to spy.  The picture
of our family was on the screen.  Pray for the obvious pains this causes
our church families. The government aligns evangelicals such as ourselves
with scientologists, accusing us and other evangelicals as being cults.
        Pray for neglected children here.  Pray for Christopher and those
like him, alone, and needing love, and parents.  Pray for Christ to be
manifested.

AFRICA, RUSSIA, JAMAICA
        Continue praying for future orphanages and children's works to open
soon.  
St. Pete, Russia
        Easter Project was phenomenal with 300 orphans receiving gifts,
hearing the Gospel and just being loved. Hope to get pictures on website
soon, as well as the Christmas pictures (pray for that).

O.F. ADMINISTRATION AND DETAILS
        Since the apparition of my May article in Focus on the Family, I've
been hit by an avalanche of responses.  This is good, but needs major
prayer to accomodate each need.  Pray for our website to be updated to meet
the needs of many inquirers.  Pray for administrative details.  Please,
please pray for some FINALIZING of administrative hassles. Pray for me.

WORLDWIDE
        Children are being sold by family members for organs.  One 5 year
old Russian boy was rescued, terrified, as his grandmother explained to the
police she needed the money.
        Children are imprisoned for stealing in many countries where they
are starving to death.  Millions of children are still enslaved, others in
war.  Afghan children, like the women, are suppressed and starving.  Sick
children in many countries are left unattended, often agonizing.  And there
are more orphans than ever before through AIDS and other tragedies.

ADOPTION
        Many older children, even in the USA, are waiting desperately,
tearfully, to be adopted.  Pray for 12 year old D..., filled with anger by
the rejection he feels.  Pray for Christians to adopt children, even older
children.  Pray we can help supply the needed information to help promote
Christian adoptions.
