Orphans First Prayer Requests re. Russian adoptions & also Haiti orphanage
- Jan. 14th 2006
Prayer Warriors Alert -- I have received discouraging news from Haiti
regarding my orphanage. The missionary couple who have been our mediators and
spiritual conduit for the orphanage -- allowing us to receive accountability for
our funds -- have decided to concentrate on their own ministry and to
withdraw from overseeing our orphanage. As you know, there have been challenges with
our orphanage from the outset, particularly because there is not an
overseeing church involved. The missionary couple provided that spiritual covering
but it has become too much for them to juggle.
We are now seeking a divine solution--one we can work with and whereby the
children can be nurtured. Unless God sends someone to help us, we are not
sure how we can continue sending support. Please pray for the CHILDREN
especially. Pray for wisdom for us, and for a provision. This is a desperate
situation. I am personally seeking God and pretty stunned that we have come this
far and yet it is still such a struggle. Please pray urgently for this.
Russian Adoptions & Need for Alexander to find a home.

Dear Adopting Family:
At Last! I received some REAL official news about the re-accreditation that
has been holding up all of the adoptions of children from the 2005 Family
Hope Program and I wanted very much to share it with you.
International Family Services and their sister agency Hand In Hand has been
informed by the Ministry of Education and Science in Moscow that they will be
signing the re-accreditation certificates next week. After that, it will
take approximately one week to process the formal certificate that is needed to
allow the submission of family dossiers to begin the adoptions. As soon as it
is officially signed and processed you will be notified.
Please keep in your heart Alexander Ghurkin whose family had a change of
heart about adopting him shortly after the children returned. I have been
fiercely advocating on his behalf, but as of yet, I have not found a committed
family willing to consider adopting a 12 year old boy... In spite of the fact,
that we made a leap of faith doing just that when we adopted Artur.
...if you know anyone who might consider Alexander, the 6300 that was paid
by his original family is in an account towards his adoption, so any family
found would only be responsible for the foreign fee portion of the total
adoption fee. He is a really great kid, and Monica Cox knows much of him, since
their adoptive son, Pasha is his very best friend. I especially am hopeful that
Pasha and Sasha will be able to grow up together like Nikita and Artur. It
is such a gift to see these boys together daily.
With the Most Sincerest of Wishes for You and Your Children -- Joyce
Schaller
Please contact Joyce Schaller if someone is interested in pursuing
Alexander's adoption.
For those who've asked about Diana's daughter, Katrina, she has still not
been found. Keep praying. And thank you for praying for all the troubled
youths, and for the needy children everywhere.
May our Lord hear our cries for the children.
