Orphans First prayer requests – June 4th, 05 Dear Prayer Friends, Below are prayer requests and recent praise reports. This weekend marks the annual date for specific prayer for children at risk. May our prayers be extra-motivated knowing we join hearts praying for the suffering children. KAZAKHSTAN O.F. is now registered under the name “First Last” with the hopes of beginning our own children’s home. Thanks to sponsors, we were able to buy the following for some older orphans leaving the orphanages in Almaty: 36 Sport bags, 36 sets of sheets, and 36 towels. Please pray for these children’s future as they may end up on the streets. KALINGRAD, RUSSIA At Christmas we helped 65 orphans in Znamensk. However, these children have no water in the summer as the well dries up. Pray for funds to help provide water year round. ADOPTIONS - praise & prayer Some recently adopted children, Sasha and Nadya, adopted in NH, are doing great. Pray for Sasha’s upcoming corrective surgery on his back. Another couple leave today for Russia to get two sisters ages 4 and 8, Olia and Katarina. Their court date is Tues June 7th and they hope to return home on June 11th. Pray for them. Good news from Joyce Schaller: “Prayers for the family which ran into problems adopting their boys are heard. The family arrive in Virginia today! Praise God! The Josephs will return in about 1 month for the 2 Moldovan brothers if all goes well. Another couple are on their way home with 3 siblings they adopted (at last) from Moldova. It took time and a lot of prayers, but those children are coming home at long last.
