Orphans First Prayer Requests August 24th, 2001

Dear Prayer friends,

FRANCE
        Thanks to your prayers, eleven-year-old boy, L***, who lost his
twelve-year-old brother is staying with his cousin, in our church, this
weekend.  Continue praying for his emotional and spiritual healing, and for
the salvation of his parents.  Pray for all children overwhelmed by deep
despair and depression. Pray for the other children, and other cases
mentioned in last E mail.
        Tomorrow is our Graduation Ceremony of our Theological Institute
(ITN), and it's been four busy weeks of summer school and outreach.  We're
honored to have Dr. Stephen Olford as guest speaker.  That is why you've
heard little from me, but God has still been moving on behalf of the
orphans.
        
INDIA
        We're planning our trip to India to visit our orphanages in late
October, early November if God provides.  Please pray already for this. 
Many obstacles make these trips challenging ranging from basic financial
needs for each of our tickets ($ 1000 each and six of us plan to go), to
health, details at home with our children etc.  We're praying to take our
daughter Rachèle again, and even our 13 year old son, Francesco, if God
would make that possible.  It is our prayer that our children make a
difference in this world for others, and seeing our orphans there is a
great investment both ways.

RUSSIA, ALBANIA, UKRAINE
        Our team will begin a more regular work with street children in
Albania, and have already begun a club with poor children.  In
St.Petersburg, Russia, plans continue to find a location suitable and
financially feasible to begin a home with street girls. No updates on the
children in the Ukraine.

AFRICA
        Plans to expand in Africa from Ivory Coast to Gabon are
concretising so please pray we have wisdom.  Our teams from these places
are here with us for Summer School.  Pray we could begin something in S.
Africa.  Pray always for Shadrack, Jane and the others like them.

ADOPTIONS
        Continue praying for Christians to adopt, for those trying to and
struggling with red tape, finances etc, and that God would cause good
couples to adopt.  Pray for older children to get adopted, including Dace,
and for Artur.  

WORLDWIDE
        Continue praying for child-slaves everywhere, for war-victim
children, abused children, hungry, sick, hurting children, divorce-victim
children, and children in hopelessness, despair, unhappinesses of every
kind.  Plead with God to take many, many hurting children Home to Heaven
very quickly, and pray for laborers to go into this desperately needy
harvest.

        Forever burdened for the children, with our Lord Jesus Christ,
