If you just want to have your heart deeply touched with a strange truth, check out the article here: _http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/article.adp?id=20050509114909990012&ncid=NWS0 0010000000001_ (http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/article.adp?id=20050509114909990012&ncid=NWS00010000000001) The article tells the true story of a stray dog who saved a newborn baby in Kenya. The dog had gone looking for food for her own pups, and instead of food for her babes, she brought back another babe--human. Ignoring her own hunger, and postponing her present maternal duty to provide for her babes, she saved this tiny babe. The baby is beautiful (what baby isn't?). And the dog? Well, pictures show her gaunt, probably more hungry than ever trying to take care of her little family. Yet, she looked beyond her need to rescue a baby, and tuck her in safe with her own. What a stunning contrast to some humans. We kill babies, or abandon them. (I don't know the mother's story, but she may herself be the victim of extreme poverty, or a young rape victim.......... We don't know what horrible circumstances pushed her to cast aside a God-given maternal instinct. We must not judge.) I heard today that the number one industry in the world is pornography and within that "industry" the vilest of all porn is the most lucrative. I can't even bring myself to name it but you know. How we need to pray as never before for the children, for the innocent, the helpless. Prov. 31:8,9. Janey L.
