Prayer Request for Orphans First – Mar.13th, 2005 Dear Prayer Friends, A precious orphan girl from an orphanage in St.Petersburg, Russia was recently murdered. Kristina was a vital part of the church we work with there, and was much loved by the pastor, his wife & the entire church. She also attended their Bible School, & was an inspiration to the church to begin doing the paperwork for a future girl’s home. Kristina was about to graduate from secretarial school where she was excelling. Her murder is a shock to everyone. Pray for the church & that this would not hinder their work with orphans. We know that in all these things God is moving. I have praise reports and new requests of special interest. Thank you for praying. First, thanks for praying for the computer problem I had opening download documents. Several friends wrote & offered solutions & so far the solutions work. Thank you. This is a great blessing. Thanks for praying for adoptions. Steve & Liz finally have their beautiful little girl from India. What a treasure! Others will soon also have their children from Russia. Thank you for praying for them. Please continue praying for Nikita. I’m writing an article on him for a Fredericksburg newspaper. Pray that the article would be a catalyst to Nikita being united with a forever family. Nikita is already 14-years-old. If he is not adopted before he is 16, it is too late. His heart is broken as he still longs to be loved in a forever family. Pray for other children waiting to be adopted, & for other parents seeking to adopt including the Josephs. Pray for baby Emmy & her foster parents here in the USA. Emmy was taken away from her foster parents & given back to a drug-addicted birth mother. The reasons are typical – this is a case of a new caseworker coming into the area, wanting to work her way up the ladder & as it is considered a “plus” if you succeed in uniting a child with his biological parent, you got it………. The parents were pursuing Emmy’s adoption & they are in fact the ONLY parents she has ever really known. Ripping her away from them has been traumatizing. Please pray. Please continue praying for the expansion of O.F. , logo & brochure as well as for the French branch of O.F. (Sauver les Enfants). The attacks of Satan on our work in France continue, although we are confident the Lord will have His way. Our part is to pray. God wants to build, the devil wants to destroy. Thank you for praying. Pray for two new works we are supporting in China: There is a Christian school with 90 poor Yi children in the mountains of China. Pray for that work. Friends in another part of China are helping a baby & his hospitalized mother. The baby is called Tien Ce but the mocking hospital staff call him “ garbage boy”. Continue praying for our orphanage in Haiti as friends are presently visiting there in hopes of better evaluating the needs. Thank you for your prayers for the school in Ivory Coast, and our children in Ghana, Africa, the orphanage in Guntur, India and our children in Poland. Pray for the street children & Alexandra in Moscow, Russia. Pray also for our friends in St.Petersburg, Russia and the tragedy of Kristina’s death. PERSONAL – Thank you for praying for my Dad and his wife who visited us from England. Their hearts were touched & we really sensed the prayers of caring friends.
