Oh the irony of Christmas. Here we find ourselves buying Christmas
stockings to be filled, while there are children everywhere who receive NOTHING at
Christmas.

Please pray for God to bring in substantial donations for our Christmas
Project. I have received propositions from many overseas teams in different
countries ready to give gifts to poor children if we provide them. We need MEGA
bucks to meet each demand. For example, read the proposition from Kazakhstan
below:

"Last year we prepared 650 gifts with a donation from you of $1000. These
gifts were very minimal, less than $2 each. They were a notebook, 2 pens, 2
pencils and a handful of chocolates. We plan to take our program to 3 places
this year; two orphanages where we are working regularly. One has approximately
250 children and the other 150. We also want to return to the women's prison
where there are 50 mo"thers with children under 5 years old and 50 teenage
girls. We would also like to give gifts to the children of needy families in our
church, maybe 20-25. So, we could do the same as last year for the same
$1000. That is my minimal proposal.

I would like to reach the same groups, but with more substantial gifts. The
children need more than one notebook-probably 3 or 4. Also, the orphanages are
always asking us for toiletries. I would like to include a toothbrush,
toothpaste and a bar of soap with each gift. Shampoo, deodorant, maybe hand cream
for the older children, especially the teenage girls in the prison. I also
want to include the candies again. Last year we bought 75 kilos of chocolates!
These are the favorite thing of the kids, the other things in the gift are
all too practical. I estimate the cost for these gifts to be $5 each and my
second request would be for $2500 to do this project.
