Orphans First Prayer Request update November 10th 2004 Dear Prayer Friends, Was it our prayers that made the difference in the elections? We may never know for sure, but we do know that prayer is a way to colabor with God and make a difference in this world. As the needs for the children are many at this time, may we never disdain our call to prayer. Thank you for praying over the following requests. HAITI Our visit to Haiti has been postponed because the violence there has increased greatly and presents real danger. In the very area where we have “adopted” an orphanage with 42 children, people are being killed in the streets. One woman received a bullet in her pregnant belly. The baby died and she’s struggling for life. Pray for this country. Pray also for the orphanage we have taken on by faith--and not yet seen first-hand—for the finances needed for rent, and the welfare of these children. Pray for the Christmas Project of “For His Glory Adoption Outreach”, as they hope to send gifts over for their orphanage, O.F.’s orphanage. and for other needy children. Pray for finances needed for that project. IVORY COAST, AFRICA Tremendous violence has broken out again in Ivory Coast, also right where we have a church and an orphan ministry. Pray for this needy country, for the numerous orphans, and scared little ones. Pray for our work. Pray we can build an orphanage there. Pray also for our children in Ghana, and our orphanage in Burkina Faso. Pray for the millions of AIDS children in Africa. Pray God shows us how we can have a greater impact in this needy continent. CHRISTMAS PROJECT Pray for God to bring in the following so that the maximum amount of children can have Christmas presents in many countries: · finances · grassroots works to give bring the gifts with God’s love · local churches to back up this project practically & financially. INDIA Pray for Grace Home in Guntur, for our 110 children there. Pray for a potential home for AIDS children—an increasing epidemic throughout. Pray for upcoming trip with our people from France. ADOPTIONS Many good families still lack funds for their adoptions procedures. Pray for finances. Please CONTACT ME if you’d like to contribute to an adoption. Pray for the Josephs, adopting from Moldava. Pray for many other families adopting, and that God would raise up more Christian families to adopt and foster. Pray also for 13-year-old NIKITA—that God would raise up parents for him SOON. He is so broken about being alone, feeling abandoned. RUSSIA & SURROUNDING COUNTRIES Pray for Alexandra working with street children in Moscow—that she would reach many, and that she’d be strengthened. Pray for Pam, working with desperate children in orphanages in Almaty, KAZAKHSTAN—for the many children being reached there. (O.F. supports these precious ladies). Pray for a special SUMMIT in Georgia coming up mid-November where many Christian organizations will seek solutions for older orphans in Russia who end up on the streets, or in prostitution after leaving the orphanages. (I have been invited but I don’t think I will be going.) FRANCE/ITALY Pray for God’s will regarding an upcoming trip whereby my husband has been asked to go to France & Italy in just over a week. Pray for God’s provision for our son during that time (my husband is his key friend & mentor during these important years and we’re seeing a real breakthrough with him). Pray for the SALE of our Bible School property and all that’s entailed with the finalization of the move to Montpellier. Pray for our own future re. France & Italy. Thank you for your prayers.
