Dear Prayer Partners,

    There's never been a greater response to the Orphans First Christmas 
Project----when we provide gifts for orphans and poor children throughout the 
world!  And there's never been a year when I've so acutely felt the needs of those 
children, and those who have no real "home" (perhaps because of our own 
situation where we still have no home, and we're not caught up in the "Christmas 
mania" at all). As I pray over the different projects being presented by teams 
in different countries, my heart achesat the lack of resources we have to meet 
all these needs, and even to reach more children.

    Thank God, money is coming in for the orphans, but nowhere near the 
amount we need.  For example, today I received the project from  Uzbekistan where 
the team plan to reach almost 2, 000 children in orphanages, deaf children, 
poor children in surrounding villages etc.  I'm pasting below the detailed gift 
description proposal of what they need us to buy for the children (in their own 
words).  As you'll see, the gifts meet the barest of minimal needs and don't 
even include a toy yet.  We can choose between a $ 10 meager gift or an even 
lesser one for $ 5 per child.  But my heart breaks to think of the extreme 
destitution of these children, and to imagine we might not even give them a toy 
because their basic needs are so great, we must think of those first. I believe 
we should also give a small toy. But how can we do it when we don't even have 
the kind of money they need for these basic needs------yet!  I believe PRAYER 
could change this.

    Prayer could open hearts to give generously and allow Orphans First to 
send more than the money required here, so that each of these children could 
have a gift.  

    We've already sent money to several countries from Russia, to Mexico, and 
elswhere.  I already shared with you about the project in Kazahkstan where 
the team will bring gifts into orphanages and detention centers.  In Burkina 
Faso, Africa we'll be reaching out to many orphans and destitute children.  In 
Albania, our emphasis is again on the street children.  And so on.........  I'm 
excited to think of those lives being touched.  And the same will take place 
in many other countries.  But we really need more funds.  Please pray for:
    funds,
    that we could somehow reach even more children,
    that we'd have enough gifts for every gift and NEVER be put in a 
situation where we'd not have enough (imagine the poor kids that would see others get 
gifts and they would not get one),
    that God would strengthen the hands on workers,
    that kids would meet Jesus in a very real way,
    that the snacks and food would multiply to abundance,
    that God would cover all the details to make this the greatest day for 
thousands of children,
    for God to protect our computers and allow administration to run smoothly 
(I've had many problems and lost much data).

     Finally, pray for us as we continue seeking God's guidance as to where 
we should live (that He would provide us with a home), where we could be 
together with our 16-year-old son and where he could be in Christian school, and 
that we could also be near our 20-year-old daughter.  We need what is best for 
our son, and a base where we can continue serving God  (Louis in Missions, 
preaching, Religious Liberty etc. and me with Orphans First).  Doors are open in 
different places---including DC---but not all the elements are yet in place, 
particularly our most basic need to have a home, and a good Christian School for 
our son.
