Dear Prayer Friends,
Requests to give gifts to needy children are pouring in from all parts of
the world---from S. America to Africa, India, and throughout Europe. We
finally got the Christmas flyers so now we need to pray we can get them into the
hands of different churches to distribute within their congregations and raise
money for these children's Christmas presents. Finances are needed.
DIfferent teams have drafted their projects and all seem very worthy,
especially when we realize that we're talking about showing Christ's love to poor
children during this season through offering them gifts. He is the REASON.
So let's show WHO HE IS by giving gifts in His name, and sharing His message.
We need to pray for FINANCES for this year's gifts like never before.
We're bitten off a big bite and I'm in transition so very limited as to what I
can do myself this year.
Now, concerning that TRANSITION, this is the latest:
We arrived in the States last Thursday to begin our "change of
ministry/sabbatical year". However, we're still praying about where to live as housing
has not yet opened up. Ironically, I get kids off the streets and into homes,
and my husband is a key church-planter, but we have no home of our own.
We've left our work in France with good people and we're launching out to reach
people on a different level, probably in DC. We're presently in Florida,
staying in a friend's home with our son and daughter, and will head towards the
Capital in a week or so, for some key meetings. Please keep this in prayer and,
in particular, our need for: housing, a car, phone, everything a person needs
in a home (bedding, kitchenwear etc.). Please also continue praying for our
son to adjust to the American school system. He has a high IQ but has spent his
entire life in France, and needs to catch on to his studies.
Please pray much for the CHRISTMAS PROJECT. I have been overwhelmed by
the propositions of church members in foreign lands who are working with the
poor children. The stories of the street children, and those in state
orphanages as well as those in our own homes are overwhelming. I hope to give you more
precise details to pray over in the future. Meanwhile, continue praying for
all the above details. And thank you so much for being part of this great
adventure.
