Dear Prayer Friends,
Our stateside move is almost upon us. This "sabbatical" year will
actually provide a change of ministry emphasis, not a withdrawal from ministry.
Just as we came to France by faith 22 years ago to church-plant, now we return to
the States again as missionaries, to continue serving God. Our emphasis then
will be:
* speaking on Missions and Religious Liberty in USA churches;
* ministering to leaders in Washington, DC;
* re-structuring and expanding Orphans First;
* reconnecting with our kids who are stateside;
* ministering within our home church in Baltimore.
This is just a skeletal outline of our purpose. Concerning Orphans
First, over the years we have made many key contacts. Please pray that the time in
the States would bring about some major growth and iron out some
administrative difficulties to that we can reach thousands more suffering children. I
believe my being in the States is key to this.
ADOPTIONS
Pray for a new link I have developed whereby ADOPTIONS may be made easier
for Christians. Pray for our contacts in CONGRESS who are able to unblock
major issues preventing adoptions taking place. Continue praying for Christians
to adopt needy children, and for that to transpire with facility.
CHRISTMAS PROJECT
Pray for the CHRISTMAS PROJECT. Because we are moving in a few weeks, we
need extra prayer for this project to run smoothly and be effective, reaching
thousands of children for Christ through Christmas presents etc. Last year
we reached over 7,000 kids in many countries. Street children, prison
children, state orphans, poor children etc. Pray we reach more this year. Pray for:
finances for the Christmas gifts etc.
ground workers in each location to give the gifts with a zillion hugs,
administrative miracles so I can orchestrate all the details during this
major transition from France to States;
for the participation of many USA churches in providing funding for this
project.
PERSONAL
As we pack up our belongings here in France, and my husband delegates the
work he has founded to one of the men he has raised up, please pray for a
smooth transition. Pray also for God to give us a home stateside. We still have
nowhere to live, nor do we have anything to put in a home (furniture, plates
etc.). When we got married, we asked people not to give gifts, but money so
we could purchase our tickets to come to the missionfield. Now, 22 years
later, we're attempting to return to the States still owning nothing. We trust our
God will provide, and thank you for praying for this.
Pray that we may be able to sell our car at a good price so we could buy
a good used car stateside.
Pray also for our teen son to fully get culturally adapted to his school
work at Grace Christian Academy. Pray he gets a major breakthrough in his
spiritual life.. He is realizing the amazing life he had growing up here on the
missionfield of France. He turns 16 in 2 weeks! Once again thanks for praying
for him.
Thank you for your part in saving children's lives through Orphans First
ministry.
A zillion thanks.
