Dear Prayer Friends,
You might wonder why you've not heard so much from me recently. Well,
we're in major TRANSITION as we're about to take a "sabbatical" or make a change
of ministry at this time---after almost 22 years in France (actually, our
whole married life has been on the Missionfield). The reasons are numerous, and
not the least is to really expand Orphans First through the doors that are
opening to us stateside in Washington and elsewhere. Other reasons include the
obvious one--our children are both now stateside. They need us!
We're also feeling led to minister to leaders in Washington, and help out
our home church in Baltimore, while also to traveling sharing on Missions and
O.F. in churches throughout America.
I would like you to especially pray for this major transition. I have
only 2 weeks to pack up our belongings. Our needs also include the following:
that we could take care of all the details while still having time to say
our goodbyes to the people we love so dearly,
a home in America (we don't know where we'll live yet),
finances (so that we can live),
that our church here would run smoothly as we leave it in the hands of
competent leaders my husband has raised up,
that God would continue helping our son adjust to his new school and find
real friends,
that I could find homes for my cats.
I hope to find time in the future to share with you the awesome things
happening with the children around the world. God is moving, children's lives
are being touched, and we are going forward. Pray that God would really honor
this step of faith to expand this ministry. Pray also especially for the
CHRISTMAS PROJECT at this time. May God allow us to reach THOUSANDS or children
again this year, and more....................
