Dear Prayer Partners,
Street children are everywhere---even in France. A friend of mine in
Marseille recently saw a young girl, about seven-years-old, squatting in the
middle of the busy streets in the hot sun. She stayed there for hours, deydrating
while begging. My friend, Odile, watched and then brought her food and drink
and gave her money. No-body else took any notice. Then Odile went to the
police to find out what could be done to help. The police said: "Madam, there
are thousands of kids like this in Marseille. What do you expect us to do? We
can do nothing." Odile pleaded they help but they threatened to put her in
prison. The little girl is probably from Romania. Her name is Angelica.
Please pray for Angelica and the numerous street children in Marseille
and other parts of France, and indeed in the entire world. Pray that we can
begin a work helping the children of Marseille.
Please continue praying also for troubled youth. So many of the kids
we've invested in here in France are now living in drugs and other traps. Pray
for a mighty revival among the youth, for a youth pastor, and for the
schooling situation of many of the young people and children. Pray for our Christian
Day School as we look toward the new semester. Pray for our son, Francesco,
and his future schooling situation.
Confidential
You have prayed over the years for strongholds to tumble so that the
work of God could flourish and so that Orphans First could expand. There are
still hurdles and strongholds making progress difficult in certain areas
(although God is reaching more and more children by His grace). Please pray against
the amazing warfare and opposition on our lives as we seek to go forward.
Blessings in Christ,
