Hello, Brothers & Sisters in Christ!

    My name is Jon and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.
I'm very thankful to have the opportunity to participate in this list!

    I have always had a strong interest in the healing mercies of Jesus and
have enjoyed praying for the healing of others on many occasions.
Interestingly, my desire to see others healed by Jesus has coincided with my
own need of healing  (which has not yet occurred).  I have been a stutterer
for 36 years.  Although I've tried every possible earthly treatment (with no
results) and have been prayed for numerous times,  I am still unable to speak
as others do.

    The fact that God has apparently chosen to not heal me has kept me in a
position of difficult spiritual struggle.  The enemy often attempts to suggest
that the reason God has not healed my condition is because He hates me.  I
ignore this most of the time, but after 36 years it's become more and more
easy to believe it.  

    I must admit that I now have very little belief that God will ever heal me
in this life.  This is very discouraging because I've never really been able
to talk to anyone about Jesus (or about anything else, for that matter!).  I
would greatly appreciate the prayers of other members of The List; perhaps the
Lord's mercy and healing will come through your prayers, since they have not
come through mine.
