Hello Subscribers, This morning the Holy Spirit led me to read John 9. In this the Lord Jesus is asked by the apostles whose sin caused this man to be born blind? Was it his sin or his parents sin? This scripture shows us two salient facts:- 1. It was accepted, even Jesus spoke it (Luke4:18) that there is a correlation between a man's sin and sickness. Even there is a genrational sin that brings on sickness on the offspring. (genetically based) 2. That this blindness at birth was not caused by anyone's sin. But it was caused by sin. Humanity's sin. We all bear the consequences of sin in humanity to a lessor or greater degree. These issues are not simplistic, but complex though the answers are simple. "Have faith in God". There is always something that can be done in God. See that to those who believe "ALL things ARE Possible!" Mark 9:23 Jimmy Manor was a dwarf. At 27 years old he was in a car accident and his hip and back were broken. He remained in hospital for one year in bed. There he became a believer. He cried out to God in his anquish! The Lord spoke to him. "If you will read My word as much as you watch TV I will heal you!" He watched TV 8 hours a day and so now he had to read the bible for 8 hours a day. He did this for two months and then was led by God to remove his plaster casts and walked out of the hospital totally healed.All in one day. He went back to work. But the scriptures that God had impressed upon him were the Mark 11:23,24. and Mt 21:21. Speaking to the mountain and the tree in faith, doubting nothing. It was this that had finally healed him. He got to thinking. You can only do this in God. Not with recklessness or lawful abandonment. But did God want dwarfs??? He was 4 feet nine inches and weighed 90 pounds weight. No, he concluded God did not make some people dwarfs. But something did this that was contrary to the will of God. But he, as the believer, God's agent on earth, could put this right. He had the authortiy. All he had to do was to exercise the authority. To be effective authority is not authority until it is exercised properly. Every day he commanded his body to fall in line with the will of God. He spoke out loudly to it, in faith believing. At the end of the month his shoes were too small for him and he began to grow. Over the months he carried on growing until he reached 6 feet one inch or 6 feet three inches I am not sure which. He weighed 180 pounds in weight. I met him in Johannesburg where he told us his testimony. He is now a full time minister in the USA. Praise God!
