Hello everyone, The scirputre states that the follows of Jesus were to follow Him totally in total committment. Jesus in His discourse in Matthew 6 spoke out about doing all for God and dying to your own needs. He said that this way God would be able to provide, in due time, what you needed. In this chapter Jesus speaks about the physical needs of today that unbelievers or normal people termed gentiles here, need. He said that everything that we nwould need would be given to us. This is a promise. Jesus termed these needs as food and clothing and said that we should not worry where these came from for they would be provided by our father in heaven. But what gentiles need goes further than just food and clothing into the realm of education housing; health etc etc. These are genuine needs of society today and they are not made up. The luxury God never promised to provided but the necessities. In the desert He provided clothes that never wore out and manna and quail to eat every day. Kind of fat free diet when it is left up to God but you imagine it to be the best for your body though you may have thought of other things. To trust God in all these things can be exciting and also scary. But it is the Jesus way. Health comes likewise we only get healing sometimes when we stop being so involved with ourselves and our needs. Worrying Jesus told us to stop. Trusting to do. But it was His kingdom we needed to seek and His righteousness to do that were the small print or the conditions for a good heart that allows God to move in blessing in our lives including the blessing of health. A good spirit God will never refuse but often our spirits are not humble and pure and good and so the Holy Spirit is unable to get through to us. But by following His way and His righteoues responses etc. Then the promise of ALL is givien to us for everything that is needed for the gentiles. Now if He promised food and clothing but you were dead by sickness then this would be stupid wouldn't it? No God isn't stupid He knows we need these things too.
