I can relate to your predicament, of certain prayers not being addressed in
the manner that we would desire (or think they should be).  But that does not
mean that God doesn't answer prayer; after all, the Jews were in Babylonian
exile for some 60 years before God answered their prayers in the manner in
which they were expecting.  Time (unfortunately for us) is "on God's side,"
not ours.  Perhaps God IS answering your prayer but in a manner in which you
are not expecting.  Or maybe God has yet to answer your prayer.  But no
matter--the Bible is clear on the efficacy of prayer.  Thus, I pray that you
do not give up hope (and reliability) in prayer.
