Hello Everyone, This is the Moderator for the healing list speaking. The Lord wanted me to build your faith so that you can receive from Him and He showed me recently some things about faith. In the scriptures we hear that faith comes by hearing God's word for us. (Romans 10) When we know God's will for us we can have faith in Him because He does not go against His own will though there is an enemy that tries to wrestle His will from us. But the Lord was talking to me about the faith that destroys the power of fear generally. When Jesus was asleep in the boat and there was a great storm so that the disciples (seasoned fisherman to those parts) were crying out in pain for their lives. He castigated their lack of faith before calming the storm. This faith or lack of it was just caused by fear at life's tragic consequences. The fear got to them and Jesus was angry with them for allowing this to happen. Another example was Peter walking on the water. The will of God was clear Jesus told him to walk on water. Then, when he did, the power of God held him up. But their was an enemy. Fear. Jesus mentioned it to him later "Why did you fear?" The same applies to doubt, the twin sister of fear. These human emotions common to everyone the Lord expected us to control them and even annihilate them for the sake of faith in God. It did not matter how much anointing or power of God was present when Peter walked on water, he sank the moment he doubted. The moment fear entered his heart and took hold the power of God was destroyed in His body which was being kept above the water. So then there is faith which is a human emotion not determined, in one respect, by the greater will of God for one in one's life. But merely faith combating fear. Fear of failure. Fear of insignificance. Fear of death. Fear of life. etc. Jesus expected them and expects us to fight this fear with faith. Another human emotion which comes as a matter of choice.Everyone gets afraid, but not everyone lets this fear take hold of their heart. The will of God can only be achieved in some places in our lives when fear is driven out by our faith. By our choice to overcome fear with the other "human" emotion called faith.
