Fighting for the faith is a continuous battle for the believer. It is, as John Bunyon put it, A "Holy War".
This is the real "spiritual warfare". Too much time and effort has gone into trying to persuade God in prayer, to do things He has already promised to do. Action is warfare not prayer fighting with spirits that was never suggested or ever eluded to in the bible.
No the warfare that the bible shows is me and women standing for the truth and standing no matter what is wrestling with them to stop this stand. This take effort. Often the devil uses men and women to try and throw the Christian off the stand he has taken. \And he has to wrestle to stay put in that position. This wrestling is what the bible calls spiritual warfare. Never was it shown that he wrestles against demons (the kind that possess demented people) These are a different part of the enemy. No He wrestles against "powers" "principalities" ( which are not princes of demons but the areas or domains that princes of demons rule. Like a kingdom is the arena of the king the principality is the area governed by a prince), "spiritual wickedness in high places" and the "rulers of darkness of this age."
Now spiritual wickedness is found in men and women and these rulers effect governments and leaders of countries. We do not engage this rulers directly. They are not found by us directly. They move through people and organisations. We fight these effects, powers, forces of evil and darkness (LACK OF KNOWLEDGE) all over the world or wherever the Lord has called us to go.
These forces of evil are everywhere and need to be opposed. Superstitions’, lack of education, illiteracy and so forth are all part of the lack that enables evil to convince men and women around the world to use bad tendencies and not the enlightened and revealed truths that God stands for not only in scripture but wherever truth exists.
Values, standards, disciplines, and all forms of limitations that bring about righteousness are found throughout the world and resist their opposite number. These oppositions cause a battle. This is spiritual warfare. To take a stand for righteousness is a stand for truth and for God and all goodness. This kind of stand is always opposed by the powers of darkness that appear under different guises in history and throughout the ages.
Philippians 1:27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel 28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. 29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him, 30 since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.
No fear! No fear. This is what we are asked to have , no fear. This lack of fear shows we are right. The “righteous are as a bold as a lion”.
Now I am away from home a lot at this stage as I have work to do elsewhere. But I want you to know that God’s Spirit, who is our real leader, remains with you and sees all. It is His business to lead and to inspire and bring about the miracles that glorify Jesus.
So to Faith Ministries, Leeds, please remain consistent in your fight and inspired in your approach to His Holy War. Do not allow any fractions to come between you and remain one in spirit, purpose and intention. In His name.
