"We wrestle against principalities, power rulers of darkness and spirirtual wickedness..." Ephesians 6:12 We have been given weapons by God to defeat the evil one. "we have divine powers...the weapons we have been given by God have the power to demolish satan's strongest powers"! 2Corinthians 10:4 This is a promise that God gave us...one that cannot be changed, but is only received by believeing that God said it. Weapons have to be used by those to whom the weapons have been given. They have been given for a purpose. God does not need these weapons. He gave them to us! So then we need to know which weapons we hae been given and then use these weapons effectively against the evil one. Praise is a weapon. The word is a weapon and we will see that the promises iof god are the most effective weapon of all. Because God said that we were free! Free from satan's grasp. And so then the "only enemy not yet dealt with is physical death caused by aging. 1 Corinthians 15 tells us that the last enemy to be destroyed is this one. But sickness and demon spirirts we have been given the right to be free from. Of course the devil's job is to fight against this. That is why we wrestle. Against powers etc etc spirirts of wickedness. This is our job. To wretle using the weapons that God has given us and to win. Becazuse God says we have a right to be sucessful. 1 Coritnhians 15:57 tells us that we are the victor. We have been given victory by God. But we have to exercise this victory. Using the weapons God gave us. Somethings just come to us and others are contested by satan. But we have been given the legal spiritual right to defeat the enemy. Ephesians 6:17 tells us that the "sword of the Spirit " is the word of God. Now this word has to be believed in properly so that we , like Jesus, following him, exercise our authority over demonic spirits who come to rob us of our legally won victory obtained in Christ. This is so important. Very very important. Mark 1:37 said that Jesus taught differently from the scribes and pharisees in that he always spoke with authority...from heaven...and then they said what new doctrine is this for with authority he commands demons and they listen to him! Jesus brought us a new life...new testament...unlike the old one he gave us the keys to the kingdom of heaven. I have cast out spirits that caused epilepsy, alcaholism and the like and when they had gone all the diseases were healed. Demons could move things around the hosue and growl in a room....etc etc but they all had to elave when authority in the name of jesus was exercised....not one was able to withstand this..."For at the name of jesus every knee must bow!"...
